CUop

A program that provides opportunities for students to experience research in various fields during vacation periods at DGIST Graduate School, the Convergence Research Institute, and local companies. Graduate School Internship

Purpose

Provide an opportunity to gain research experience in various fields and explore one’s future career.

Content
  • Open to students from first to fourth year; research conducted for five weeks.
  • Introducing various research topics at the DGIST Graduate School and providing opportunities for interdisciplinary research.
Support

Approximately KRW 830,000 stipend for the five-week duration (as of 2023).

Convergence Research Institute Internship

Purpose

Introduce the Convergence Research Institute and provide an opportunity to advance as a ‘researcher’ by conducting research alongside actual researchers.

Content
  • Autonomous research activities tailored to the characteristics of individual researchers.
  • Use of research facilities within the Convergence Research Institute.
  • Participation in research seminars and presentations.
  • Support for meetings with the director and researchers of the Convergence Research Institute.
Support

Approximately KRW 830,000 stipend for the five-week duration (as of 2023).

CUop (Company-University Cooperation) Program

The CUop (an abbreviation for ‘company-university cooperation’) program is a collaborative program that establishes a network of human and material resources from science and technology specialized universities and corporate industry-academic cooperation. It provides an opportunity for students to cultivate practical problem-solving skills in a real-world context during their vacation, and offers companies the chance to improve technological difficulties through collaboration with science and technology specialized universities.

Purpose
  • Provide students with the opportunity to cultivate practical problem-solving skills during vacation periods (eight weeks in the summer)
  • Solve realistic problems for companies through industry-academic cooperation and propose future possibilities
Content
  • Program aimed at students who have taken entrepreneurship-related courses in their second to fourth year
  • Formation of a network between human and material resources of science and technology specialized universities and corporate industry-academic cooperation
Support

Internship fees (scholarship) of approx. 4.5 mil KRW
