Since its establishment in 2014, the School of Undergraduate Studies at DGIST has been dedicated to nurturing the next generation of science leaders. Our focus lies in cultivating individuals with versatile knowledge and interdisciplinary thinking prowess, enabling them to transcend disciplinary boundaries. Our distinctive curriculum provides students with a solid foundation in basic science, engineering, and humanities, followed by in-depth learning in their chosen field of specialization. We emphasize hands-on learning through research and field experiences, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems. We foster our students' intellectual and personal development through tailored major design, hands-on educational experiences, and a range of personalized mentoring initiatives. As a result, our alumni spearhead innovation and progress in diverse fields, making lasting contributions at the forefront of science and technology in academia and industry.

Building on DGIST's educational DNA, we are now pursuing several key initiatives to further develop our talents who will lead the future of science and technology in Korea and the world. These include establishing a bilingual campus, building a digital multi-campus, and expanding joint educational and degree programs with leading universities around the world.

The School of Undergraduate Studies is rapidly growing thanks to the dedicated efforts of our world-class faculty in each discipline and our highly professional administrative staff who provide high-quality services. As Chair, I will work tirelessly with our faculty and staff to ensure that DGIST becomes a starting point where our students can freely dream about the future and make those dreams come true. We greatly appreciate your interest and support.

Chair, School of Undergraduate Studies, College of Transdisciplinary Studies Jin Ho Chang
