Exchange Program

DGIST students can study at partner institutions with which DGIST has signed student exchange agreements. Students can study abroad as well as truly immerse themselves in a new culture and create lasting bonds with students from all over the world.

Eligibility

  • Students must have completed at least one semester at the time of participation
  • Upon returning to DGIST, at least one semester left to complete the degree program
  • Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Students without disciplinary records

Process

  • Application: The program notice for the Exchange Student Program will be announced in January for the Fall semester or in July for the Spring semester. Applicants must submit their application documents to the Center for International Affairs by end of January or end of July. Application documents include:
    • Application for Exchange Student
    • Study plan at DGIST
    • A copy of academic transcript in English
    • A letter of recommendation by academic advisor or faculty member at DGIST

    Students should find out which university and which program suits best for their study and make sure that all documents are ready and are sent to the Center for International Affairs by the deadline.
  • Selection : The Head of department to which the applicant belongs will make the selection after reviewing application documents in February for Fall semester or in August for Spring semester.
  • Admission to Partner Institution: The Center for International Affairs provides partner institutions with the information of successful applicants and the successful applicants make registration for partner institutions and obtain short-term study visa by following instructions provided by the partner institutions.
  • Study Abroad : Students will study according to partner institutions’ academic calendar for a semester or a year.
  • Summary Report : Students must submit a Summary Report for their exchange student program to the Center for International Affairs after completing their study abroad.
