Enhancing quality of life through cardiovascular health diagnosis. Magnetics Initiative Life Care Research Center

Developing multifunctional sensors and operating systems that can precisely diagnose physical, medical, biological, chemical, and kinetic factors at the cellular level, not only for separating and diagnosing biomarkers from bulk materials, but also for transitioning from "healthcare" to "life care" paradigms. We aim to establish a foundational medical environment by applying this paradigm shift to the healthcare industry, leading the way in industrial development and job creation.

Magnetics Initiative Life Care Research Center
Research Goals
  • Through the advanced integration of electromagnetic Bio-NEMS/MEMS technology, we aim to shift the medical paradigm from reactive treatment after onset to proactive management of cardiovascular health.
  • By leveraging electromagnetic fusion technology, we focus on proactive cardiovascular health monitoring, aiming to enhance quality of life and reduce medical costs.
Major Research Fields & Contents
  • Development of early diagnosis technology for vascular diseases through monitoring cardiovascular biomarkers.
  • Development of integrated diagnostic chips for biomarker separation, purification, and detection.
  • Development of a novel concept multi-scale magnetic tweezer system for analyzing vascular cells.
  • Analysis of interactions between vascular cells at the cellular level and analysis of cellular heterogeneity.
  • Development of technology for measuring the physical mechanics characteristics of blood flow and blood vessels.
  • Development of point-of-care testing (POCT) life care systems through interdisciplinary medical research.
