Buddy Program

To help you adjust to the new environment, you are assigned a local student buddy who is eager to assist you during your stay.

Cultural Exchange

The International Affairs Team organizes cultural excursions every semester, providing opportunities to visit must-see cities in Korea, including Andong, Busan, and Gyeongju.

Donation Program

The International Affairs Team runs the 나눔(Nanum) Program to support international members' settlement. You can receive donated items and also donate things you no longer need but are still in good condition for the environment and other students.

English-taught Courses
  • All courses in the Graduate School are offered in English, and we require all exchange students to take courses in the Graduate School.
  • English instruction is expanding in the undergraduate program, with all undergraduate courses transitioning to English by 2026.
Facilities and Resources

DGIST is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, libraries, research centers, and technological resources, providing an ideal environment for learning and academic growth.

Global Lounge

We have the Global Lounge (Room #261, E7 Building) for international members.
It offers various amenities such as a meeting room, printing services, and a comfortable space to relax.

Home Away from Home

The International Affairs Team will facilitate connections between exchange students and local student clubs. Joining a club will allow you to engage more deeply in our community and feel at home during your time at DGIST.

Immerse yourself in DGIST

We encourage you to participate in various events at DGIST, including D-RUNNER (our campus marathon event), Book-cnic (a picnic with a book), and other cultural events, which will enable you to fully experience and enjoy campus life.

Joyful Sports Facilities for All Students

DGIST Sports Complex offers a wide range of sports facilities, including a swimming pool, squash court, tennis court, indoor stadium for basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton, taekwondo, and more. These facilities are available to students at a discounted price.

Korean Language Course

We provide a Primary Korean Language Course free of charge for international members. Many students have expressed satisfaction with these courses!

As a small and young university, our faculties and administrative staff can provide you with focused attention and personalized support.

More Freedom to Choose Courses
  • Exchange students can enroll in any classes regardless of your department. As DGIST's vision is "Innovative University Changing the World through Convergence," we welcome and encourage our students to explore different fields of study.
  • However, some courses are excluded from cross-registration.

Orientation

The International Affairs Team conducts comprehensive orientations within a week of your arrival. These orientations ensure that you are well-equipped and informed before starting your journey at DGIST.

DGIST Consilience Hall (E7) serves as a central hub connecting each department building. This facility offers convenient amenities such as a convenience store, cafeterias, and a student lounge, enhancing the quality of life for our students on campus.

Research university

DGIST is home to 23 research laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and resources. If you are interested, you can reach out to professors and explore opportunities to become an intern in their labs.

Daegu is an excellent destination for a food tour. We recommend a trip to Daegu's unique restaurants that will delight your taste buds: 찜갈비(Jjim Galbi), 납작만두 (Napjak Mandu), 뭉티기(Mungtigi), and more.

Daegu offers a truly immersive cultural experience with attractions such as 서문시장(Seomun Market), 동화사(Donghwasa Temple), 앞산전망대(Apsan Observatory), etc. You can take a double-decker bus of the Daegu City Tour at a reasonable price.
